The CW will air the season finale of the show, titled “Swan Thong,” on Tuesday, June 2 at 9 p.m. ET, and the episode will be streaming shortly after on the network’s website and app.

However, once the Season 5 finale has aired on the network, the countdown to the whole 15-episode season coming to Netflix begins.

Under the Netflix deal with The CW, the network’s shows that began airing before the 2019-2020 TV seasons (that is, everything except Nancy Drew, Katy Keene, and Batwoman) come to the streaming service eight days after their season finales air.

Though the coronavirus has meant that some of the Netflix release dates for CW shows were delayed (Dynasty, for example, was a week later than expected), Legends of Tomorrow will arrive bang on time.

Netflix has confirmed that the release date for Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will be Wednesday, June 10.

The 15 most recent episodes of the DC Comics superhero show will come on that day at 00:01 a.m PDT. When it arrives in your country and territory will depend on your time difference from America’s west coast.

Fans who want to binge on former episodes of Legends of Tomorrow can find the first four seasons on Netflix now.

As for what fans waiting for Season 5 to drop on Netflix can expect, the official CW plot synopsis reads:

Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 comes to Netflix on Wednesday, June 10.

Harvesting souls via an insidious Palmer Tech app, Neron is poised to ‘Make Earth Hell Again.’ To make matters worse, Sara’s Timeship has been turned into a Noah’s Ark for various unruly monsters and magical creatures. Oh, and Ava’s Time Bureau was taken over by an evil Fairy Godmother. To defeat Neron, the Legends realize in the end that they will have to sacrifice one of their own. But it gets way worse…

In attempting to change her future, Zari Tomaz (played by Tala Ashe) will accidentally change not just the past she shared with Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), but fundamentally change who the Legends are in season five. Can our team go back to who they were next season? Can a reformed arsonist turned romance novelist Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), a half-werewolf named Mona Wu (Ramona Young), and a punk rocker shapeshifter named Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) stop the literal Hell that Astra unleashes on the world in the finale? And what happens when the Legends awaken the original guardians of Time (no, not the Time Masters, sillies, that was Season 1!) who wish to erase everything the Legends have ‘screwed up for the better’ over the past four seasons?
