Like all card games, having the best deck imaginable is the only way to secure wins. If you are bringing a Yeti spam deck up against a deck that buffs Braum to insane heights, you are going to have a problem winning. The meta hasn’t completely settled yet, so there’s no of truly knowing which combination of 40 cards is the absolute best. But, if you are looking for what cards to spend your green crystals on now or Wildcards, then this is a solid place to start.

Legends of Runeterra Tier List: The Best Decks

Braum Control- One of the best champions in the card game is Braum. For three mana, you get a guarantee block on anything that is under five attack, and, if he’s buffed with an Omen Hawk or Avarosan Hearthguard, he can clear minions. If you can level up Braum, he can become a win-condition in himself, summoning hordes of 3/3 Poros to do your bidding. This deck utilizes the heavy amount of control that comes from Ionia, using Deny and Will of Ionia to counter enemy spells and attacks. It’s a deck that reacts better than anything but will struggle in situations where you might want to be proactive.

Hecarim Midrange- This deck uses the army of the dead to constantly flood your opponent with oppressive minions that can whittle away at their Nexus. There are a few variants of this deck; one uses Shark Chariot and Hecarim to create an OTK, while another uses Lucian and Demacia. The one that is seemingly the most powerful offers a massive hand while clearing away your enemy’s board. It’s a slower deck than some of the others from the Shadow Isles, but it makes up for that shortcoming with consistency. There’s something magical about switching the Ephemeral status on your 5/5 octopus onto their Jinx to win the game.

Jinx Aggro- Speaking of Jinx, she’s an absolute powerhouse. Dumping your entire hand with discards is usually a bad archetype in card games, but the Piltover maniac makes it work with her level up that lets you draw an extra card. If you can empty your hand with Augmented Experimenter, you can easily win a game. Knowing what resources you have left is key to winning with this deck, since you’ll be running through your cards like Jinx through an army of robots. Keep your champions alive with get Excited and Twin Disciplines to make sure you don’t lose board control.

Other viable decks:

Fiora Barrier- Just Riposte and repeat.

Heimerdinger Exists- Kind of gimmicky, but, when you get it to work, that little yordle can impress.

Katarina Aggro- Can’t leave Noxus completely out of it.
